Cancer Awareness Week poster hung in the hallway of the main building.

Cancer Awareness Week is a time for all of us to show our support and spirit to the brave cancer survivors and those battling cancer right now. Many may have lost a loved one or knew someone who had battled cancer. October, the month of Breast Cancer Awareness, and Cancer Awareness Week are a time who many hold close to their heart.

From October 21 to October 25, 2019, Lincoln High school hosted their Cancer Awareness Week.  Lincoln Lions wore different colors everyday of the week to show their compassion and also to help spread awareness. On Monday, Lincoln students were encouraged to wear lavender purple, the color worn to represent all types of cancers. Tuesday was Leukemia Awareness Day and orange was worn, grey was worn on Wednesday to support Brain Cancer Awareness Day, white was worn on Thursday for Lung Cancer Awareness Day, and Lincoln lions wore yellow on Friday to bring awareness to childhood cancer. Stands were also put up in the quad for students interested in pinning a colored ribbon on their shirt to show their support even more.
