You may have noticed Malia Obama’s picture wearing a “Pro Era” shirt, and “Pro Era” is also the label of Mr. Badass.

Joey Bada$$ spells his name with dollar signs however Lion Tales will refer to him as Mr. B.

Mr. B is a 19 year old rapper from Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Badass has put out a couple of mixtapes and on Jan. 20th, he will release his first album “B4.DA.$$” which he spelled that way. Mr. Badass has gained a huge reputation on the east coast because of his young age and his huge popularity.

Mr. B decided to follow his dream to rap when he was about 12 or 13 years old, but he stopped when he got into high school and started acting.

While in high school he met some friends that also liked rap, so he decided to chase his dream again.

During this time he recorded one of his freestyles and uploaded the video to YouTube and named it “15 year old freestyles for World Star Hip Hop.”

One day Jonny Shipes, his current manager, saw his video and contacted Mr.Badass to help him start his career as a rapper.

Today, with over 6 million views on YouTube he will be performing in New York on Jan. 22. You can check out his music here.
