Freshman Parent Night Preview
Freshman parent night is coming up and will be held Thursday, September 17th in the Media Center. It will begin at 6:30pm and end at 7:30pm. Freshman parent night is a presentation to show upcoming students an inside scoop of what to expect. A huge transition to high school reviewing the four year plan, Naviance, and graduation requirements. Make sure you come check it out to know the benefits to be a successful student in high school. There would be a translation in Spanish in Room 72.
There is a four year plan that helps student stay on track and keeps them aware of how many credits they have. Also it shows them how many more they need to graduate high school, get their diploma, and know what kind of colleges are open for them after they graduate. The four year plan shows you how many times you need to take a certain course, and which to take the following year. It tells you the other requirements like the first aid tests, CPR tests, writing assessments and other things to know etc. The four year plan will be explained more briefly at Freshman parent night as well as other important features.
Naviance is another helper to know especially for the upcoming students. There are things like surveys, grade-trackings, and follow ups on your credits.
