VIDEO: 2015 Pancake Breakfast
The 2015 Pancake Breakfast was a big success raising money for Visual and Performing Arts classes. All the bands and choir groups came out and played along with the Lincoln convertibles and the Xochitl team.
A symphonic band member Casey Bleicker said, “I like this event, it is helpful for all the performing arts and it is a good fundraiser.” The band was excited as they jumped up and down while playing all their instruments. We also asked a Freshmen Enzo Filangeri a member from Jazz and Wind Ensemble why he joined. He said, “I have a lot of friends and I have been playing my instrument for a long time.”
For such a big event like the Pancake Breakfast, it might be nerve racking or stressful for the students preforming for their first time. But for Enzo Filangeri, his first time preforming at Lincoln he said it was both “fun and tiring.”
This all changes when you have your second year preforming. So we asked Casey Bleicker what kept him to continue playing band? He said he appreciated “how pumped up the crowd was.”
We also asked a parent volunteer, Steve Philipson, if he though the Pancake Breakfast was a big or small turnout. He replied “It’s a bit smaller than last year.” Being one of the biggest fundraisers for the Preforming Arts and raising funds for the Lincoln music boosters, the Pancake Breakfast will have many more memorable years to come for the community and Lincoln alumni.
