Canned Food Drive 2015

Lincoln High School hosted a competition to see which class can donate the most canned goods and peanut butter. The event occurred the week of November 9 until November 13,2015 in room 52.

On Monday November 9,2015, it started as a sad race! Lincoln high school was raising food for City Team, San Jose and 3,000 families. Lincoln had only raised enough food for approximately 25 families. This was not enough we at Lincoln at that point in time needed to step our game up. All the cans from the classes combined aren’t even enough to fill one of the bins half way.

On Tuesday November 10, 2015,the amount of donations was improving daily. Yesterday, the junior class was in the lead, but today the senior class stepped up their game, now they’re in the lead. From what I can see, the amount of canned goods in the bins will feed another five families.

On Thursday November 12,2015, the amount of cans good has risen since two days ago. Senior class is still in the lead with 125 cans; just behind them is the sophomore class with 75 cans. But the juniors are one point behind the sophomore with 74 cans. In last place are the freshmen with 53 cans; they need to step up their game. According to the canned goods that lincoln has raised, it will be able to feel another 10 families.

On Friday November 13,2015, GAME OVER! The winning class of 2017 made the achievement of collecting 321 cans and 11 peanut butter. Right behind them are the class of 2018 that donated 201 cans and 9 peanut butter. In third place are the class of 2015 that raised 181 cans and 6 peanut butter. Last place is class of 2019 that gained 63 cans and 2 peanut butter. All the cans good and peanut butters that add together is 755 cans and 28 peanut butters.
