Little Bone: Lincoln Shuts Out SJ High 35-0

The JV Lincoln High School Lions dominated the football field Thursday, November 21st on their own turf against the San Jose High Bulldogs by shutting them out 35-0!

It was an exciting environment on both sides of Don Bowden Field under the lights. With barking from the Bulldogs and roaring on the Lion side the tension was dangerous!

Within the first couple minutes of the game the ball was carried to the three yard line by Johnny Cornejo #68. A short while later it was then carried into the end zone by Mario Robles #9 and the a two point conversion by Ryan Ruffing #10. 

Ruffing then settled the first half of the game with a touchdown followed by a field goal by Lincoln’s kicker. 

The halftime show was rousing for the crowd with the San Jose High cheerleaders cheering on their side  followed by the Lincoln band performance then another executing appearance by the Lincoln Convertibles.

The second half of the game was, just like the first half, intense and exciting on both sides of the field.

The start of the third quarter started out with another touchdown from Mario Robles on the Lincoln side along with a one point conversion. Ruffing then scored another touchdown and field goal driving Lincoln’s score up on the score board.

In the last minutes of the game Bulldog #24 attempted a touchdown but the excitement was cut short by a flag from the referee because a personal foul.

The Lions have won the Little Bone and now everyone is excited and preparing for the Big Bone on Thanksgiving Day!
