Super Park for Super Bowl in Cesar Chavez Park Downtown
Super Bowl 50 is approaching quickly and the game will be hosted on Sunday, February 7 at 3:25PM in the city of Santa Clara at the state-of-the-art Levi’sⓇ Stadium.
Downtown San Jose, the Capital of Silicon Valley is home to 250+ restaurants, Cafés, bars and entertainment venues in a walkable setting, along with the Valley’s transit network in walking distance.
In honor of Super Bowl 50 week, the city’s park department and installment crews have been making some big improvements at Plaza de Cesar Chavez.
Lincoln Lion Tales visited the park Thursday evening and felt that the park was a lot more welcoming with all of the new additions. The improvements are more representable for San Jose.
The Plaza had a touch of Super Bowl Sunday with the mini football field, which had a football target, and the outdoor bar, which many business people find convenient.
The Plaza had a chill and laid back vibe with additions of the following: tan bark, many colorful hammocks, adirondack chairs, food trucks, giant playing cards, jumbo jenga, picnic tables, bonfires, live bands, and DJs.
These improvements are all age friendly, and showcase the lifestyle and diversity of our great city.
