Pet of the Week 12: Squeaky

Merry Late Christmas- Squeaky (Rachael Bailey/for Lion Tales)

This week’s Pet of the Week goes to a 1 year old  Guinea Pig Squeaky, who belongs to an 11th grade Lincoln student, Rachael Bailey. Rachael has informed me that Squeaky is “A 2.5 pound guinea pig. We adopted him from Andy’s Pet Shop downtown, when he was around 6 months old, along with another guinea pig” who will be featured another week. “We have 2 other guinea pigs,” Rachel said via email, “and feed them all the same food, but somehow Squeaky became the most obese out of the three.  He is the sweetest guinea pig and likes to lick me and my boyfriend. His favorite activity is to sit in his house and watch over the land. He also sometimes flips over his hut and sits in it like a boat to sail and search for his next meal!”

“Squeaky also sits in the corner of his litter box and has fantasies of his next meal will be, because he is the most gluttonous pig I have ever met. He’s a short hair guinea pig. When he was adopted he was very shy and didn’t want to come out nor to be touched. Now after awhile, he loves being held and being pet, specially on his back.” The reason he got named him Squeaky, is because when he gets held in the palm of people’s hands, he gets so overfilled with joy and he won’t stop squeaking until he gets put down.

Next Week’s Story?

Every week is another pet, or, if you have more than one pet, then pets for pet of the week. How can my pet(s) be featured you may ask? Or maybe you may not be asking.

It’s simple!

Just snap a picture of your pet then email it to [email protected] along with both you and your pet’s name with some info about their life story and with what they are like.
