Pet of the week 14: Kira

Kira staring out her window. (Isaiah V. / for Lion Tales)

This week’s Pet of the Week belongs to a cat named Kira, who belongs to Isaiah Velasquez, a 10th grade Lincoln student. Isaiah has provided a quick story about his cat Kira down below:

“One day Kira went outside with my other cat, (Kira is NOT an outdoor cat). She followed the other cat into a tree all the way to the top, and after awhile the other cat jumped down and landed on her feet with ease. On the other hand for Kira its her first time being in a tree, being outside if that, and she didn’t know how to come down and she’s uncoordinated and fat, so she got stuck in the tree. She soon fell out of the tree not landing on her feet like. She never went outside again.”

That is the end of today’s Quick Pet of the Week, and there’s a lesson to be learned for all of us, “All cats land on their feet” is a MYTH! Who ever made that phrase up probably never had a fat cat.

WARNING: Don’t try this at home and throw your feline out a window to prove me wrong, you cause minor or serious injury to you and the feline.
