Top 5 Gardening Tips
This “top 5” is on gardening tips in the Bay Area to help save you some money and your plants. These are really easy to do and require little to no help doing. Some of these small changes will benefit you in the long run.
#5-This tip is for those who have cats in their neighbor hood. some cats like to wonder near your crops and go poo on your dirt. The forks will prevent them from squatting into position and will poke their butts. You wont have any feces near your plants.
#4-There are a few plants that are not crucial for your garden but will attract bees. There are a lot of different plants that will get the job done not just the Borage that is in the picture below. Attracting bees will bring bees to pollinate your plants.
#3-This tip is to protect your leafy greens from getting eaten by slugs or snails. Copper tape is really easy to use, just take off the white paper behind so that it can stick onto any surface. This is one of the most humane ways to get snails out of your plants.
#2- An important thing that can save you some extra cash is having a planter box. Instead of having water running down all over the place the water will be in a controlled area to maximize your water use. Planter boxes are very easy to make or buy and can help you save money on your water bill. (note* not all planter boxes are the same size nor do they look alike)
#1- The most important thing that you need in your garden is a water hose nozzle. It does not matter what type you get they will all do the same. Some have different variants of pressure and other have a switch were you can make the water come out or stay in the hose. Some other ones the water wont come out until you press down on the handle. This is the most important so that the water does not continuously come out while you water your garden.
