#1: Be organized, make a plan, and create a to-do list.

#2: Be sure to research the Universities before applying to ensure the campus is an ideal fit for you.

#3: Do not be afraid to ask for help from teachers, classmates, parents, and especially your college councilors.

#4: If you have to write an essay be creative and think about how you stand out more then other applicants.

#5: Always be honest and be yourself. Admissions people are real people and will value honesty.

#6: If you can, be sure to take a tour of the campus or ask alumni about their experience at the university.

#7: When asking for a letter of recommendation you should ask a teacher who knows you well and be sure you give them plenty of time to write it.

#8: Always submit you application at least a week ahead of your deadline. It shows punctuality!
