Get ready Lions! The Farmers Market is finally coming to our very own Lincoln High School! After four years and talking to three different Farmers Market associations, Lincoln has finally made a deal with the West Coast Farmers Market Association (WCFMA)!

Starting in either April or May, Lincoln will be holding the Farmers Market in the parking lot every Saturday from 9:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M and will be year round! We will also have our own booth for clubs and classes to sign up for such as the sports teams, to show support for their team and teammates, and the band/choir to perform for those at the Farmers Market.

Not only does this sound amazing and something for students and those living near Lincoln to enjoy but it can also be a chance for us to start a fundraiser as well. Along with Lincoln High’s own booth, there will be other booths selling farm fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, honey, cheese, fish, meat, numerous hot foods, and even arts and crafts.

As a way to land this deal, the WCFMA will not be paying rent but will pay a security deposit just in case, as our Principal Hewitson jokingly spoke, “One of the trucks runs into the solar panels.”

So keep your eyes open folks, because there will be more than just colorful walls at this school, but even more colorful foods from some of the best trucks throughout the Farmers Market! So be ready and grab your grocery bags, we can’t wait to see you there!
