Florida School Shooting
The Florida high school shooting that left 17 dead at the hands of a troubled teenager has put a sorrowed feeling into our hearts. As we all looked at our nightly dinner news, we saw the unfortunate and heart-breaking words that made us all gasp and cause forks to clatter on to the plates, Florida Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Some people with family in Florida, who might have been in that area, ran to the phones, to call their loved ones to double check on their safety.
Lincoln High School held a lunch remembrance ceremony for the lost innocent children of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. A coach by the name of Aaron Feis, who also was a security guard, selflessly shielded students selflessly from the shooter when he was shot. “He died a hero and he will forever be in our hearts and memories,” said a tweet from the school’s football team.
A troubled teen lost control of his emotions which led to something indefinitely more deadly. Unfortunately, no one noticed the signs too soon, but if you notice anyone with angry outbursts and ever makes a reference to shooting up or even bringing a gun or any type of weapon to school, let your school authorities know. It may say lives. We will continue to pray for the families who lost their grandchildren, children, and siblings. Every Lincoln Lion is sending their heartfelt thoughts and well wishes to every single family going through the loss of a loved one.
