Many students view prom as an excuse to go all out and use it as an opportunity to leave their comfort zone for this one special night. This has led to an increase in the pressure to stand out & make an entrance. Nobody wants to show up and see someone in the same dress as them.

In some student’s past experiences, it had ruined their night knowing that someone had same dress as them. Thankfully a student, at Abraham Lincoln High School, had the smart idea of creating an Instragram account dedicated to prom dresses of the students attending this year’s event, to help avoid the “same dress disaster.”

This year, Abraham Lincoln High School’s prom is set to take place on May 19th, 2018 at Club Auto Sport. So far, according to the Instagram account, the most popular color variations are shades of reds, blues, and other pastel/neutral tones. Two of the most popular dress fabrics seem to include lace and shimmer designs, with also a few velvet designs.
