Spirit Week at Abraham Lincoln High School
At Abraham Lincoln High School, spirit week had many participants, and opinions.
There was Tacky Tourist on Monday the 27th of August. Tuesday, the 28th, was Twin Day. The next day, Wednesday, was Whiteout/Blackout day. Also, Thursday, the 30th, was decade day. And Friday, the 31st, was Lion Pride.
Most of the Lincoln students dressed for Lincoln Lion Pride on Friday, but participation was not as noticeable other days. Also Friday, there was dancing and there were games that you could play.
Some of the students did not like the spirit days that were given this year. Aracely Garcia, a senior, said, “I didn’t like the spirit day themes as much so I didn’t dress up. They weren’t as cool as the ones from last year.” Some of the themes from the 2016 Spirit Week can be seen here.
