Buy a Bed and Help a Lion: Fundraiser Helps Arts Programs
On September 23 from 10am to 5pm at Lincoln High School in the Small Gym, there will be a mattress fundraiser. This used to be in the Main Gym, but has been relocated to the Small Gym this year.
At the fundraiser there will be 25 name brand beds for you to check out.
If you bring a flyer or a picture of it with a persons name that referred you to the fundraiser, that person earns money for their department.
This fundraiser will be helping Lincoln’s Art Department such as Band, Choir, Orchestra and Mariachi.
Choir is looking to raise $12,000 this year. This will cover concert attire, music and food before concerts and performances.
Orchestra is looking to raise $10,000 and Mariachi is looking for $3,000 for the year. This will cover concert attire, instrument maintenance, and food before concerts.
Lincoln’s Band is looking to raise for $20,000 for the year. This will cover concert attire, Pep Band uniforms, flip folders for the Pep Band, and instrument maintenance.
This year is the first year the Art Department is fundraising as a whole. Lincoln used to ask the students to pay individually for their concert attire, instrument maintenance, and food. However, this year, fundraising at the beginning of the year will offset the costs incurred during the year.
