3rd Annual Little Italy Festival Brings Italian Flavor to DTSJ
Little Italy had their 3rd annual festival on September 30th in the artistic streets of Downtown San Jose, with outstanding food and entertainment. The streets were full of people as well as reporters. Their authentic Italian food stands sold rapidly, as well the merchandise. They had live performances such as Italian dancing and dough throwing. The La Copa Loca gelato stand was selling gelato in 3 flavors: lemon, vanilla, and cookies n’ cream.
Little Italy, built in 2009, was originally an organization paired with Silicon Valley Community Foundation, still standing till this day. They have built 4 Italian businesses: Paesano Ristorante, Bel Bacio Italian Cafe, La Piccola Scuola Nel Parco and Enoteca La Storia Wine Bar & Pizzeria. They have raised over $600,000 to buy many of the Italian monuments we have now. Conveniently, Little Italy is located in the heart of San Jose, next to the SAP center and the Sharks Stadium. Ever early for a concert or hockey game? Spend some time in Little Italy and enjoy their scenery and food!
