Lincoln Water-Polo Champions!
This fall season the Lincoln Lions boys water polo team was able to secure a co-league championship in the Blossom Valley Athletic League (BVAL) Santa Teresa Division.
Many didn’t know what to expect since the team was relatively young and had 11 new players. One of the captains, Yonatan Eisips says, “I had no idea what to expect with this season but I was hoping that the seniors’ expertise and large amount of new players would be able to pull through and have a competitive season.” This turned out to be true, it was a very competitive since where the team ended up becoming co-champions with Yerba Buena High. Another Captain Henry (Clyde) Stange also didn’t expect the season to go as well since they were in a “new league and most of the team was new.” Overall the Lions had a great season with only 2 losses and hope next year season ends with another title win.
