Christmas in the Park Overview 2019

For over 39 years Christmas in the Park has been held in Downtown San Jose. The opening day of 2019 was November 29th, and will close January 5th, 2020. Christmas in the Park is open from 9 am-12am every day until then. Each year, there’s over 500 trees decorated by local schools, organizations and others. All for display in Plaza de César Chávez Park. Lincolns’ Cheer squad, LPC, Convertibles, and Xóchil were invited to have their very own tree. You can go visit their trees at #559, #113, #114. Each are decorated with their own themes and look very festive and unique.

Other than visiting the trees there is many other things to do. For $14, you can take your friends, family, or loved ones to go experience Downtown Ice! An ice rink near Christmas in the park. Christmas in the park also has some of the best hot chocolate! Evan Forrest stated, “The hot chocolate is so good! Every time I go there the first thing I do is get hot chocolate.” They have a variety of food, treats, and drinks in the event, and nearby. There are many rides, and games for all ages.
