Lincoln Joins the Fight Against Hunger
City Team has teamed up with Lincoln to fight against hunger by collecting donations of canned food. Lincoln was asked to donate canned corn, canned peas, canned soups, and macaroni and cheese. The cans can be dropped off in rooms 51 and 52 everyday until Nov. 21st.
The food donations will go to City Team Ministries in San Jose. City Team Ministries is a non-profit organization devoted to helping the community by providing food, shelter, and hope to families and individuals in need.
Cecilia Madrigal, a Leadership student, said, “They came to us for help because they really needed more support.”
According to Ms. Zamora, over 1600 cans were raised last year. This year, Lincoln hopes to raise 1000 cans.
