Starbucks has taken over the drink industry! Anywhere from Instagram to Tumblr, chances are you will definitely see someone post a picture of their Starbucks’ drink.

Why has Starbucks’ recently become so popular though? Lion Tales asked Lincoln student and self proclaimed Starbucks addict, Jacqueline Moncada, what made Starbucks so appealing to her. The sophomore obviously answered, “the variety of drinks were a given”, but she raved about the chill atmosphere with free WiFi. Jacqueline said that is partly why she doesn’t mind paying for the overpriced drinks.

Nevertheless, their are still people out there who are not hooked on the Starbucks’ trend. I asked Lincoln sophomore, Manuel Villaseñor, what his thoughts on the popularity of Starbucks were and he showed no interests. Manuel said “it was just a hype within teenagers, but it would eventually come to an end.”

Whether you spend all your free time at Starbucks, or go once in blue moon, there is no avoiding this trend.
