Boys’ golf will be teeing off their season on Monday, March 2nd against Overfelt High School. Their match will be at San Jose Municipal Golf Course at 2:45 pm.

Senior Daniel Andrade said, “The golf team last season was talented and most of the guys have been on the Lincoln team for 2 years or more.” He continued, “In the beginning of the season, we won our first couple of matches and had the mindset to win league. Then, we lost to Branham and it brought down our confidence a bit.”

Last season, the Lions came in second place in the B League, tied with Branham and behind Sobrato. Seven seniors graduated from the team last season, but Coach Adrian Phillips said that this year’s team is young, rebuilding, and has a lot of nice kids that work hard.

Andrade expects to teach new players how to improve their skills throughout their high school careers. “I also want to be dependable in tough also clutch situations. I want to focus more on contributing to help my team and improving every week and never going backwards,” said Andrade.
