Girls Volleyball Preview: In The Cuts
It’s a tough court in the busy gym at Lincoln High School. Over sixty student athletes are competing for a position on the girls volleyball team. Tough competition has players pushing themselves to the limit and, for some, beating them down.
While speaking with varsity coach Hanah Kim, Lion Tales found that player cuts are still being made, the team is not yet assembled, and will not be posted until early next week. Although many athletes are being cut, Lion Tales reminds the community that one must remember the courage it takes to tryout. Between morning and afternoon tryouts, all volleyball girls still must maintain their school work. They truly have proven themselves to be student-athletes from day 1.
Stay tuned! Lion Tales will be profiling the newly minted players and returning players next week.
