Lincoln High School is hosting a canned food drive this month, to donate to City Team San Jose and help over 3,000 families enjoy a delicious meal on thanksgiving! We ask you the lions to bring any of the following: canned peas, corn, cranberries, turkey, gravy, pumpkins, beans, and peanut butter. The food drive will be around for your chance to make this thanksgiving enjoyable for other children and families, from November 2nd through November 13th. Remember to bring the canned thanksgiving treats to room 51,52, or the quad during brunch and lunch. We hope everyone will help support this wonderful cause by bringing your canned food donations!

City Team contributes to the community by hosting many food and fund drives to help companies, schools and the individuals to connect our hungry, poor, and struggling neighbors to nutritious foods. Their services extend all the way from San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland all the way into Portland and Philadelphia, and even go international. In addition according to City Team San Jose 4,178 people tonight, will be homeless in San Jose and one in four requests for food assistance in food banks are turned away because f the great needs. So your donations matter!

Lincoln ASB is holding a class competition for encouragement! The class(freshmen, sophomore, junior, or senior) that brings in the most cans wins the most spirit points; first place gets 100 points, second place gets 75 points, third place gets 50 points, and fourth place gets 25 points. The goal is to collect 2,100 cans! So help these families this thanksgiving and support your class!
