Video: LHS vs Oak Grove soocer game

Varsity Boys (Jocelyn Insurriaga/ Liontales)

On Friday, January 8, 2016 Lion Tales attended a varsity boys soccer game at Oak Grove High School. The first half was fairly slow, then began to speed up. Mid first quarter, Oak Grove scored a goal. Towards the end of the first quarter, Lincoln’s Ramon Inda Felix scored a goal. Overall, it was an intense soccer match. The second half was getting more physical and by the end of the second quarter, both teams scored another goal. They were tied 2-2 mid quarter and ended the game with a tie.
After the game, Lion Tales interviewed a Lincoln soccer player by the name of Julian Lorenzo. Lorenzo is a senior, and has played soccer at Lincoln for four years. Our first question for Julian was if he will continue playing soccer. He responded with, “I will, because I’ve been playing for so long and soccer is a part of me.” We then asked him about his thoughts on the team. Julian believes that his “team is very skilled and talented…we all have great chemistry and I believe that we can go far together.” Lastly, we asked him about what his goals were for the team, and Julian responded with, “I think that we have the potential to make CCS and playoffs.”
