Behind the Scenes: Lincoln Softball 2016
2016’s Lincoln varsity softball team has been incredibly impressive. Skill level in the field has increased greatly over previous years. The coaching staff consists of 3 amazing coaches, Coach Hank, Coach Mike, and Coach Stu, that spend their time teaching us new ways of playing softball and new techniques. Despite opposition from various equally talented teams, Lincoln’s varsity softball has nevertheless been on a winning streak. Lincoln’s record is 6-1. Many students may be curious as to the life of a softball player, including daily routine, practice, and games.
Many students are still unaware of how a softball player practices, or how hard it is to practice as a softball player. To answer some of these questions, Lion Tales’ Emalie Ortega, who also plays left field for the varsity softball team, has gone behind the scenes to capture the everyday routine and practice of Lincoln’s Softball team.
Video information: On Wednesday April 20th, 2016, Lincoln’s girls Varsity team played against Piedmont Hills, Lincoln ended up winning that game with a score of 5-3. The video was shot during warm ups before the game by Emalie Ortega, a player on the team.
