Recap: Game 1 San Jose Sharks vs Nashville Predators Friday April 29th

Friday, April 29th, the San Jose Sharks won game 1 of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs against the Nashville Predators. The first period saw no goals scored by either side. During the second period, the Predators’ Mike Fisher and Paul Johansen scored a power play goal, taking the lead. The third period was a tense one, as the Sharks fought to secure a goal and tie things up. 2 minutes in, the Sharks´ Tomas Hertl (#48) scored with assists from Marc-Édouard Vlasic (#44) and Joel Ward (#42). 11:45 minutes in, the Sharks’ Joel Ward (#42) managed to score an amazing goal with assists from Joonas Donskoi (#27) and from Brent Burns (#7). With 5 minutes left, Sharks’ Logan Couture (#39) scored another goal with the help of Joe Pavelski (#8) and Brent Burns (#7), leaving the score 3-1. As the game was coming to an end, The Predators´ Ryan Johansen was able to score a goal and made the score 3-2. The Sharks, however, kept scoring. With 2 minutes left, Logan Couture (#39), with the help of Nick Spalling (#16), scored his second goal of the night and managed to bring the score up to 4-2 .  The game only had 50.6 seconds left when Sharks’ Tommy Wingles (#57) made an amazing last second shot, ending the game with a score 5-2. The San Jose Sharks shut the Nashville Predators down, and ended the night with an incredible win!
