Boys Volleyball Final Game Of The Season

The Lincoln’s boys volleyball team sum up their final game of the season against Live Oak. It was on Friday May 6 at Live Oak at 5:30pm. Although the Lions ended up taking their 5th loss of the season, it was quite the close match. The score was 3 out of 5 games leaving the match not able to play the 5th game. Live Oak won the first game, Lincoln won the 2nd game, and Live Oak won both the 3rd and 4th game. You only need to win 3 out of 5 games to win the match. In this case Live Oak won 3 games before reaching the 5th game.

Compared to last week’s match against Pioneer the Lions got to play the 5th game. Carlos Cervantes, player on the team injured his knee on Live Oak’s gym floor as he tried to hit the ball. They had to take him out of the game to ice his knee. He didn’t get to play for the the rest of the match. Knowing this Lincoln holds their record of the season at 8 wins and 5 losses.

 Carlos Cervantes, player on the team said, ” I felt bad losing the game and especially not able to get back to the game cause of my injury.”
