San Jose Earthquakes Fans are Ready to Rumble!
Soccer is not the most widely-watched sport in the United States, unlike other countries such as Spain, England and Germany. In the past few years, however, soccer in the United States has taken off in popularity, especially in cities such as San Jose. But what are some of the things that make fans of American soccer unique, specifically those of the San Jose Earthquakes?
There are 3 main groups of the Earthquake fan base; The Casbah, located on the North zone of the Avaya stadium are the traditional fan-base that have been cheering since the inception of the MLS Franchise in 1996.
The Faultline are hardcore supporters known for having huge flags that draw lots of attention in the stadium. Additionally, they sing and drum for their team, and have been partnering with The Casbah’s group for every game.
Imperio Sismico is the first group of Latino supporters. They bring a distinctive passion for the game from Latino countries such as Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador and more. They enjoy soccer so much that they would give their hearts to the game! One of their traditions include joining together and having barbecues after the games to have fun with family and friends
All these amazing fan groups are very committed and go to every single game at the stadium to cheer for the San Jose Earthquakes; a very interesting thing is that they are able to coordinate everything by having their own websites where they make daily posts about all the schedules for the games, everything they need for a game, where are they meeting up, etc. They are very organized, and this shows how much they love and support the club. They enjoy it to the fullest and encourage more fans to join them and have fun.
