Lincoln Boys’ Basketball Game vs. San Jose High Bulldogs

Varsity Warming Up!

Lincoln Lions Junior Varsity:

Lincoln’s JV basketball team faced off against the San Jose High Bulldogs and the Lions dominated, winning 62-28.

The JV Lions’ top scorers were #2 Trevor Funk and #3 Tobias Veyna. San Jose High Bulldogs leading scorers were #22 ,#32 and #11.

The Lions’ scoring and strong defense paid off throughout the game. Players came out excited and energetic with motivation to take the win.

Playing with home court advantage, the intimidation from the crowd must have had an impact on the Bulldogs.

As the young Lincoln Lions went to halftime, the score was 40-15 with the Lions in the lead.

Coming out of the locker room for the second half, the Lions just tried to maintain the large lead. As they put their substitutions in to get some game experience, the Lions kept their lead to win the game.

Lincoln Lions Varsity:

Lincoln’s Varsity team faced the San Jose High Bulldogs’ Varsity team, with both teams playing at a high speed and intensity. Lincoln, however, took home the “W,” winning with a final score of 54-28.

The Varsity game had a much higher speed of play, and was a good game for the Lincoln Lions. It was a very exciting game for the crowd on both sides. The audience went crazy as the Lions and Bulldogs went at it.

The Varsity Lions’ top scorers were Kurt Lojera #3, Jesse Galvan #22, and Nate Azure #30.

Just like the young JV players, Lincoln’s skill in the sport dominated the Bulldogs with intimidation. The Lions walked onto the court determined to take the “W,” just like the younger Lions.

For the San Jose High Bulldogs, their top scorers were #15 ,#23 ,#11. The Lions lead at halftime 34-19 with a commanding lead, and they kept the tempo up to win the match against San Jose High.
