Baseball Recap: Lincoln vs. San Jose High 3/20
The undefeated varsity Lions left yesterday’s baseball game with a 5-2 lead over San Jose High, scoring 4 runs in the second inning and and 1 run in the fourth inning. Lincoln’s team is now 6-0 in league. Number 23, Joseph Garcia, was a big part of the win, scoring 2 runs for his team. Following him was #7 Ryan Gallegos with 1 run, #3 Robert Najar with 1 run and Luke Steinbach with 1 run.
After the game, #14 Tobias Veyna said, “Our defense wasn’t as solid as we wanted and that needs to be our main focus right now in order to win in the league.”
All in all, the Lions played strong throughout the whole game. Even though San Jose High scored the first two runs, that didn’t stop Lincoln from taking the victory.
