Anya Harkness Foils Competition, Finishes Second in Fencing Tournament

On April 26, Lincoln freshman and nationally ranked fencer Anya Harkess competed in the All State High School Fencing Invitational where she finished second out of ten fencers. The tournament took place in San Francisco.
Each student represented their district, and since Anya Harkness got the silver medal, SJUSD got the silver medal. This is wonderful for a school that doesn’t have a fencing team! Look out next year, because she’s looking to bring home first place for Lincoln. SFUSD took first place this year.
