JV Softball Wins League
Congratulations to the JV softball team on taking first place in league after a victory against Gunderson yesterday!
In an interview with the coach, Andrew Christian, Lion Tales learned that he is “very proud of the girls for working hard and being able to overcome a lot throughout the entire season, each developing skills and each taking leadership for the team.”
They were able to play a great season even with obstacles that were thrown at them. After losing their starting pitcher in the middle of the season, they put in Pacifica Ramirez to start. It was probably the smartest thing the young team did. Also, after losing their starting catcher, Coach Christian had to quickly find a replacement and trained first time catcher and softball player Lilleana Torio. Great job on that one Coach. Lilleana, better known as “Lily,” did wonderful, and showed her team that she had a lot of heart and love for the game.
