Lincoln Soccer Kicks Off Its Season With “Gooooaaaalllls!”
The boys Varsity soccer team was heading for a good season this year with a two game winning streak against Yerba Buena and Silver Creek. Then they took a close 4-3 loss against Oak Grove on Tuesday, January 13th.
During the game against Yerba Buena on January 8th, the Lions held a scoreboard of 0-0 during the first half of the game. However, towards the last five minutes of the second half, the Lions scored a header from a corner kick. They ended up taking the win with a score of 1-0. The goal was made by Gabriel De La Torre.
Their earlier game played on January 6th against Silver Creek was a win. It was a close game but Lincoln took the win of 2-1 against the Raiders.
The next game for the boys Varsity team will be played at home against James Lick on Thursday, January 15th and will begin at 5:00.
