Boys Varsity Soccer Beats James Lick, but Falls to Leland in an End to Winning Streak
The Lincoln Varsity boys soccer team had another great victory in their last home game, with two goals sent into the net.
The Lions took a win against the James Lick Comets on Tuesday, Jan. 15 with a score of 2-1. The goals were made by Omar Velasquez and Michael Robles.
For the first goal, left wing Luis Aguilar chipped the ball over the keeper, then Velasquez tapped it in, making a score of 1-0 in the middle of the first half.
During the second half, Robles kicked it straight toward the top goal post, leading the team to a 2-1 victory.
The Lions’ winning streak, however, was brought to an end by their most recent game on Tuesday, Jan. 20, against Leland. In this game, the team lost with a score of 1-3.
