Lincoln Lions vs. Silver Creek Raiders
Lions take the first win 28-26 for the win for Lincoln’s varsity team and 14-6 for varsity. Lincoln’s first home game of the season was last Friday August 30th 2019. The Lincoln Lions played against the Silver Creek Raiders. JV took the first win of the season, with two touchdowns, and two field goals. Silver Creek got one touchdown and their field goal was blocked by sophomore Elias Guzman and the final score was 14-6.
Later that night, varsity started off at 7 with Adam Arenas #2 receiving. Within nine minutes of the first quarter a 30 yard touchdown run by Senior Adam Arenas #2 with a field goal put the Lions on top 7-0. At half time Silver Creek had one touch down with the score of 7-6. Then after a long drive from the Silver Creek Raiders they final scored making the game better. The final score was 28-26.
Throughout the game the raiders seemed to be losing their touch by fumbling the ball on more than one occasion. Always losing a couple of yards with those not to say that Lincoln had its close calls as well. More than once Lincoln threw a couple of passes that were almost intercepted but in the end all it amounted to was just a loss of down for Lincoln. All in all both JV and Varsity won the first home game of the season.
