World Series Fashion Takes Over Campus
The San Francisco Giants started off strong with a 7-1 win against the Kansas City Royals. Sadly, they lost the second game 7-2 and lost the third game 3-2. The Giants found redemption when Game 4 ended in an 11-4 win and Game 5 ended in a 5-0 win. Things took a turn for the worse when the Kansas City Royals brought the heat to Game 6 and won 10-0. That tied up the World Series 3-3, leaving all the suspense weighing on Game 7.
Prior to Game 5, the Giants tweeted out they would be honoring their “dear friend”, Robin Williams. Williams’ three children, Zelda, Zac, and Cody threw out the first pitch to Billy Crystal with images of Robin Williams displayed on the big screen. It was a beautiful tribute to the Giants’ longtime fan.
Fans have been proudly representing their Giants pride throughout the World Series, leading to a Bay Area filled with a wave of orage and black. Everywhere you go, you are sure to see people wearing their Giant gear and Lincoln High School students were no exception.
