Make a Wish Bake Sale Raises Almost $100
Chocolate cupcakes, frosted cookies, and delicious brownies! Make A Wish’s Valentine’s bake sale was a success. From Feb. 9 to 13, Lincoln’s Make A Wish club held their annual bake sale fundraiser.
The club had a table all week long at lunch in the quad with different baked goods such as cupcakes and cookies. No matter the treats, everything was only $1.
The club raised a little less than $100.
Make A Wish Foundation is an organization that grants wishes for children with life threatening medical conditions. Children ask for wishes because it makes their lives better and makes them feel special.
On April 3, Make A Wish will be hosting their next fundraiser: a drive-in movie. Come watch Grease and sing along to the music on the basketball courts. There will be a lot of food, including pizza and popcorn. Ticket prices are still to come.
Vice President Angel Madero said, “The event was a success and I’m glad we can contribute in bringing smiles on the faces of kids who are fighting horrible diseases.”
