Holiday Lights
Having your family bundled up in blankets, cruising around the city, mesmerized by the abundance of beautiful holiday lights is one tradition that creates unforgettable memories. Many light displays are always competing for the most oohs and awes every holiday season.
One of the locations to surely be a top contender this holiday season is the well known Glacier Lights.
Glacier Lights was started in 2005 by two neighbors, and their light display does not disappoint. Using about 80,000 LED lights to create their grand show might seem like enough to baffle the whole community, but the two Christmas enthusiasts didn’t stop there. The 80,000 lights are all synchronized to holiday music that plays on 104.1 FM!
With such an eye catching light display, people who came from all over the city offered to pay for the show but the owners refused to accept the offers. Instead, they encouraged visitors to donate to the Make A Wish foundation. A donation box now sits in the front of the display every year. Over the 8 years the lights have been displayed, over $23,000 has been raised.
So, why not enjoy a beautiful light display and donate to a great cause? It’s a win-win situation.
