Kevin Collins Named 49ers “Coach of the Week”
This is the 8th time Coach Collins has received the award. He will be honored at the next 49er home game.
Kevin Collins was named the 49ers Coach of the week after a win over Willow Glen by a score of 40-16!
This is Coach Collins’ 8th time being selected Coach of the week by the 49ers. The 49ers will shout him out in their next upcoming home game.
Coach Collins took Alejandro Martinez-Loera, Jose Martinez, Isaac Juarez, and Gabe Florez, all senior captains, to the 49er 2018 Mentorship Academy on 9-19-18 at the Levi’s Stadium & SAP Performance Facility. The 49er 2018 Mentorship Academy helps build character through accountability. The program leaders will touch on 7 elements for the NFL Player Engagement’s Prep.
When Lincoln Lion Tails talked to Coach Collins on September 16, 2018 he said “couldn’t have done it without the team” and that “it is our reward not just mine.”
When Lincoln Lion Tails talked to the team on September 16, 2018 Giovanni Pedrola said “he is a great guy, he listens to the players and is there for us.” Daniel Urias said “He deserved it because he treats all of us with respect.” Alejandro Martinez-Loera said “He is one of the best coaches I’ve ever had.”
Coach Collins is not only the Varsity coach, but the Athletics Director here at Lincoln, and supports students in math and credit recovery.
