Lions and Tigers and Hawks, oh my! The Wizard of Oz is coming to Lincoln’s Black Box Theater starting tonight.

The musical will play from March 26th to April 4th. The show has a cast of about ninety students. Students from Trace Elementary School, Hoover Middle School, and Lincoln will star in the show.

The Wizard of Oz is a story about Dorothy’s arrival to a mysterious new land and her adventures as she goes to meet a wizard. On her way to the wizard’s city of Oz, Dorothy makes three unusual friends: a scarecrow, a tinman, and a lion.

In an email to Lincoln parents, Principal Hewitson highlighted some of the musical’s features, including “a live Toto the dog and actors flying through tornados.”

Be sure to come support the performing arts program and buy your tickets soon. The show on Saturday, March 27th has already sold out.

Tickets are available at the door, or online at lincolnperformingarts.com.
