Lincoln Lion Tales recieved an email from Mrs. Phillips, the Activity Director, about upcoming elections for ASB student council, and class council. The following information is what was on the email:

Voting will be open during next week from April 27th 12PM to May 1st at 1PM.

Voting will take place online or via text using TallySpace.com.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to vote:

Online Voting:

1)  Voters log in at http://vote.tallyspace.com/lincolnhighschoolsanjose

2)  Voters must enter their ID number and first name.

SMS Voting:

1)  Voters send a text message to (260) 407-9340

2)  Voters must include their ID number before their vote in the body of the SMS message, leave a space, then enter the first name of their chosen candidate

For example, a voter with ID number 77689 wanting to vote for ‘SMS Option Kelly’ would send “77689 Kelly” (without the quotes).

It is possible to vote for multiple categories within just one text message. A voter with ID 77689 wanting to vote for all the categories within the ASB Election would simply send their ID number followed by a list of the names of the candidates they have chosen from each category, which can be separated by spaces or line breaks.

For example, a voter with ID number 77689 wanting to vote for the candidates named Kelly, Bob, Ann, and Sue (who are all running in different categories of the election) would text “77869 Kelly Bob Ann Sue”.

There will be two different ways to vote for your 2015 ASB student council and class councils and it will be to your convenience. Be sure to cast your vote with these new and exciting methods.
