Calling All Future Convertibles
Forty-two students lined up in the downstairs dance room on Wednesday, April 29th to audition for Lincoln’s top dance team, the Convertibles.
Lincoln dance teacher, Mr. Danial George, said, “The process was the same for this year and last year plus the level of talent is higher for this coming year. The kids who auditioned this year and we called back were amazing, they were really good. Tryouts are going good so far, they finish [April 30th] so we’ll see.”
There will be fourteen to twenty open spots on the Convertibles for next year. Thirty-two of the auditioning dancers made it to callbacks– which will be held on April 30th– so some final cuts still need to be made.
Mr. George added that he thought the 2015-2016 Convertibles team members “are going to be really good, so no matter [which dancers] out of those thirty-two that we pick, they’re going to be good, they’re going to be better than this year.”
