Will the real Superman please stand up?

Henry Cavill’s Superman makes other Supermen less super

Henry Cavill as Superman

As most of us know now, Henry Cavill was fired from his role as Superman. Given the circumstances it wasn’t fair for the studio to force him to announce his return so soon. In October of 2022 he announced on Instagram that he was back as Superman, he was very grateful for the patience the people had since, “Man of Steel” first came out back in 2013 and gave the people a chance to look at him back in the Superman suit sharing his excitement to be back.

Everyone was glad to hear this news including myself.

His performance as Clark Kent was amazing and he put in a lot of hard work to make this performance as authentic as possible. Two months later he also announced that the meeting with the producers didn’t go his way as he hoped. He didn’t take this decision lightly considering the studio had hired him and made him announce his return only for this to happen, but he understood and respected their plans and storyline for Superman.

This news was very disappointing for us who have grown up with his portrayal of Superman but mostly for him. He always expressed his love for this role and his excitement to hear a call back from them so he could return. The studio should never have demanded him to announce his return publicly if they weren’t sure where the movie was going either, it was very unprofessional and they made him look bad as an A-list actor and this was so unfair on the studio’s behalf.

Overall, Henry Cavill’s Superman is my favorite and the best of the Supermen.
