Lion Pride Band marches through the track playing thrilling music

Only after a month after welcoming the new band instructor, Mr. Gomez, the pep band was off on their first performance of the year, at San Jose State University stadium.

The performance was for the halftime show for the football game between Utah State and San Jose State.  Several high schools from California such as Andrew Hill, Sobrato, John F. Kennedy, Mt. Pleasant, Palo Alto, Newark Memorial, North Salinas, Gonzalo, Overfelt, and Lincoln all met at the stadium early Saturday morning September 17th.

It was boiling under the sun where the school’s practiced the halftime show for four hours. The halftime show songs that Lincoln preformed consisted of  “Tonight,” “Maria,” “Cool,” “Officer Krupke,” and “One Hand”. Finally all the schools came together for “Somewhere”. The music helped soothe the pain of a tough loss for San Jose; the final score was 34-17. For more information on the game click here
