The Lincoln performing arts department’s PA Day turned out to be a success with prospective students. They got the chance to experience a day in the performing arts program. It was on Friday the 4th of November. Students started arriving early morning at 8:15 am staying till 3:45 pm.

Each and every one them were all categorized based on their interests. They met at the Black Box Theater as the drama teacher, Manthe explained the guidelines for the day. They were then divided into sections basing off their interests. The sections included choir, band, dance, drama, mariachi, and orchestra. Students going to either a band or orchestra class brought their own instruments and were able to participate with the class.

As the school day came to an end there was an after school performance preview, “GREASE.” Prospective students were lucky to be given an inside look of Lincoln’s sold out popular show. The show received rave reactions from the audience.

Overall, performing arts day is a great way to experience the performing arts programs offered by Lincoln and increase your chances of attending Lincoln the following year.
