FOOTBALL: Lincoln Falls to Oak Grove at Home

Joe Garza III, Reporter

The Lincoln football Lions recently faced off against the Oak Grove Eagles in the Lion Den. Lions kicked off the game with a four way tie for 1st, the four way tie for 1st were held with Live Oak, Oak Grove, Piedmont Hills, and also Lincoln. The Lions took a loss to the Oak Grove Eagles in a tough, hard fought game on Friday, October 20th, 2017 with a score of 17-7.

With Lincoln and Oak Grove both tied for first, both teams came out to play their hearts out. The Lions fought as hard as they could, but there was a struggle on the offense and we couldn’t punch in the points to pull in a victory, especially with our running back #23 Gabe Florez injured with a sprained ankle.

Also, this year the Lions have struggled with their passing game. All season they’ve pulled together a total of only 212 passing yards.
