2018 Jazz in the Box and Art Show
This Friday and Saturday, February 2nd and 3rd will be the annual Jazz in the Box. Jazz in the Box is a concert that the Jazz Bands put on, in which the funds raised go directly to the Band program here at Lincoln. Both days of Jazz in the Box will be held in Lincoln’s Black Box Theater at 7:30 p.m.
This year’s Jazz in the box theme is a boat/nautical theme. The Jazz ensemble will be wearing special costumes reflecting this year’s theme. The lobby will also be decorated with art reflecting this years theme.
This year’s Jazz in the Box will be inherently different to the ones before it. This year Jazz Band I will not be joined by Jazz Band Too, instead Mr. Gomez has invited other high school Jazz ensembles. On Friday Westmont’s Jazz band will open for our Jazz band and on Saturday we will be joined by Monta Vista.
For this year’s Jazz in the Box the jazz band will play the following songs:
–Chatanooga Choo-Choo
–How High the Moon
–Bari-ed Alive
