Ivette Pacheco: 1998-2014

Ivette Pacheco was a freshman at Lincoln High School. She was a beautiful, funny, and happy young lady. Ms. Pacheco was born on December  31,1998; her last day on this earth was January 18,2014. Ivette was battling cancer, she was a fighter, and a very strong young lady.

Ms. Pacheco knew several students around the Lincoln campus. “Ivette was a one of a kind girl, she loved making others around her laugh,” says junior Norma Villalobos, a close friend of Ivette. Norma stated that Ivette was really funny, and outgoing. Ms. Pacheco was a wonderful dancer with a great personality. She was loud and always had a positive mind.

“I wish her family the best, may she rest in peace,” says junior Samra Geberstadkan.

A carwash was held on Ivette’s to defray funeral costs. Several friends and family members came out to show their support. Ivette’s funeral will be Thursday, January 23, 2014.

Mr. Guzman, Ms. Pacheco’s Spanish teacher, said that Ivette always had her work done, and it was really nice to have her in his class. “I feel she was always involved in activities,” Mr. Guzman said.

“She was always trying to make new friends,” a freshman, who chose to remain anonymous, told Lion Tales. “She always had a smile on her face, and was always laughing. She was always so energetic.”

Services honoring Ivette were held at 9am on January 24, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on 2020 East San Antonio street, San Jose CA, 95116.
