Although spring has only just gotten started, Lincoln’s boys’ baseball team has been taking as many wins as they can, coming on to both home and guest fields with an overwhelming fierceness. They’ve been practicing as hard as they can and it shows in their gameplay.

Together, as a team they are strong and even as independent batters come up to the plate, you can hear their loud cheers from the benches. “Teamwork is very important to our team. Without it, the entire group would fall apart,” said Coach Piraro. So far our Varsity Lincoln Lions have shown nothing, but a relentless passion to win at each game.

And even if they weren’t able to, they always made a strong comeback, winning 10 out of the 16 games they’ve played so far. They train and prepare for each game with a burning desire to get their “Lion Pride” the name of the winning title.

The Varsity team practices to get better every day, so they can wipe out the opposing team. So far, our Lions have never backed down, not even when pushed to the ground. Our Lions always rise up to the challenge and defeat those who doubt them.

We have yet to see the extent of how hard they can fight, however, there is a suspicious feeling that it will leave the crowd jaw-dropped.

Of the 16 games the Varsity has played, they have a current record (as of publication 4/19) of 10-6. They have seven games remaining in the season, so come out and support “the Pride!”

UP NEXT: Thursday, April 19th: Varsity @ Prospect, 4pm. JV vs. Prospect, 4pm.
